Meet Tricia and Cary Bush.
Tricia is one of my good friends, and my official LIVING HEALTHY Mentor! She is a focused, uncompromising homeschool mom. Somehow, she runs the healthiest home I’ve ever seen for her husband and 5 children!
I’m now very excited to say that Tricia is passing along her HEALTH wisdom to more of us through her new
Isn’t that a great idea?
Her first camp was a BREAD CAMP. I’m so sad I had to miss it, but I’m still hearing about it and seeing pictures and talk of homemade hamburger buns, pizza crust and cinnamon rolls that people are making. YUM!
I did get the privilage of attending the
CONDIMENT CAMP last week! I honestly learned SO much from this. We filled these jars with healthy, DELICIOUS condiments!
Here’s what we made:
I wish I could let you taste it all. I NEVER thought I would enjoy sampling mayonnaise with a cracker, but even that was amazing!.. and HEALTHY! Everything that went into the condiments was natural and will add some kind of nutrition to our diet. (Well maybe not the sugar in the caramel sauce… but at least we used sugar! And organic sugar at that!)
This is Jennifer learning out to make SPICY MUSTARD.
This is me sampling SPICY MUSTARD.
This is the CREAM SAUCE.
Organic, free-range eggs from Tricia’s chickens.
We used fresh herbs straight from the garden.
Organic roasted peanuts for the PEANUT BUTTER.
Ketchup
And this was my favorite part… Tricia showed us how to make a natural, healthy preservative! We used Whey from organic yogurt! OMG!!! The result from whey separating from the yogurt = CREAM CHEESE!!!
Can you tell I’m excited about this??? I can do this!
As soon as I got home, my son asked if he could have some of the PEANUT BUTTER, so we made peanut butter toast
Tonight I used the BBQ sauce and made the best chicken EVER!
I also used the Green Goodness Salad Dressing.
I let my kids build their own salad and use whatever homemade dressing they wanted.
Here is Taylor’s salad topped with Green Goodness Dressing
And here is Iver’s! LOL With ranch that he LOVES!!!
I think there is a little lettuce under there somewhere.
We will share some recipes soon!
