It was such an honor leading the ‘Pilates style’ warm-up this weekend for the American Heart Association Rutherford Co Heart Walk!  We had a great turnout and beautiful weather.

It was such an honor to participate in the Rutherford Heart Walk and represent St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital Wellness Center this year!  I led the warm-up for the group and they were all so awesome, energetic and so happy to be there!!!  We had beautiful weather and it was just a great day to be active for a great cause.

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke. A few weeks ago we filmed the TYE4® FUSION class for the PhysicalMind Institute Certification Program.  I earned my certification in NYC 2 years ago —» more on that here «— and now PMI is creating online training so many more people can add this class to their schedule!  FUSION is a fun class that hits the whole body and provides a challenging, safe and effective workout.

Meet my friend and client Kay Walker. She is 72 years old and was diagnosed with Polio when she was 8 months old. I have the privilege of helping her discover that she CAN exercise! Four years ago she bravely attended my St. Augustine Fitness Retreat.  We worked multiple times a day learning her limits, but more importantly discovering what she COULD DO.  Since then we have spent the past few years personalizing her exercise to meet her lifestyle… which is unbelievably active!!
